Founded in 2019, Dixon Motorsports strives to provide quality service and parts to automotive enthusiasts in an atmosphere that fosters collaboration and creativity. We enable our customers to achieve their ideal ownership experience under the guidance of our expert staff in a garage that feels like home.

Our CEO, Phil Dixon, got into cars at a young age with influence from both his father and uncle. In High School he started to perform engine swaps on Hondas and began customizing vehicles. From that, he got the taste for modifications and fabrication work. Phil got into building jeeps for trail riding and it evolved into building full blown tube chassis rock crawlers. Phil studied at Washtenaw Community College while working at a local BMW dealership where he worked as a tech for 10 years. After the dealership, he continued in the automotive industry doing Field Service Engineering, and Quality Engineering for the past 5 years. The Dixon Motorsports concept has been something Phil has been working on over the last few years to bring a total ownership experience to today's enthusiast. To fully execute the concept, Phil partnered with a childhood friend, Colby Hubbard.

Colby got his start in the automotive industry at a young age as well. He started buying and selling parts and cars on eBay in the 90's to help his Dad with project vehicles. After learning a few expensive lessons buying hacked together cars and graduating High School, he attended college at Northwood University to study Automotive Aftermarket Business Management. Upon graduating, he started working for an exterior components company managing their retail sales and customer relations. His responsibilities grew to selling resto-mod vehicles along with parts. In 2009 he became a District Manager for General Motors Aftermarket parts division, ACDelco. There, he stressed the value of using quality brands to ensure proper vehicle repairs. 5 years ago, he moved to General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales World Headquarters to manage their aftermarket vehicle programming and service information website. Working with a diverse global user base, he has a tremendous understanding of today’s automotive aftermarket.

Together, Phil and Colby hope to give auto enthusiasts an alternative to expensive dealer repairs and services. They look forward to working with the amazing automotive community that drives the Motor City. With their extensive experience and high standards, they hope to provide quality vehicles that are fun to drive for all types of auto connoissuers.
